Introduction
At Expanly Oy ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a transparent and secure experience when using our website. This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our website and how you can manage your preferences.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are commonly used to enhance your experience, analyze site traffic, and enable certain functionalities. Cookies can be temporary (session cookies) or persistent (stored on your device for a set period).
Types of Cookies We Use
We use the following types of cookies on our website:
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the basic functionality of our website and cannot be disabled. They enable you to navigate our site and use its essential features, including saving your cookie preferences.
Analytical Cookies
We use Google Analytics to monitor website traffic and analyze the effectiveness of our contact form, which allows us to optimize user experience and improve our services. Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors interact with our site, the number of visitors, the pages they visit, and the actions they take (such as completing a form).
Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytical cookies. The information is used to improve the functionality and user experience of our website.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Track user interactions and behaviors | 2 years |
| _gid | Track user interactions and behaviors | 24 hours |
For more information on how Google Analytics handles data, please visit Google's Privacy Policy .
Marketing Cookies
LinkedIn Insights is used for website analytics, ad targeting, and ad measurement. LinkedIn is loaded only after you accept marketing cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose |
|---|---|
| bcookie | Browser identifier for tracking embedded services |
| li_gc | Store user consent for cookies for the current domain |
| UserMatchHistory | Ad tracking and targeting |
| li_fat_id | First-party cookie for cross-domain and conversion tracking |
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- To monitor traffic on our website and assess the effectiveness of the contact form.
- To improve user experience by understanding site usage and making improvements.
- To track conversion rates and user interactions.
Your Cookie Choices
When you visit our website for the first time, you will be presented with a banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Analytical and marketing cookies remain disabled until you make that choice. Continuing to browse the website does not constitute consent.
If you wish to change your cookie preferences or withdraw your consent after accepting or declining cookies, you can do so at any time by clicking on the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of our website. This will allow you to adjust your cookie preferences or disable non-essential cookies.
You can also manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect your experience on our website.
First-Party Attribution Storage
Separately from the cookies above, if you arrive on our website through a
tagged campaign link or an online advertisement, then with your marketing
consent we store the ad click identifier and campaign parameters from your
landing address in your browser's local storage (key: expanly-attribution). This is first-party storage set by us: no third-party script reads
this browser storage directly, and no tracking script is loaded because of
it. Its only use is that if you submit our audit request form, the stored
values are included with your submission so we can attribute your enquiry
to the campaign that brought you.
We stop using the stored values 90 days after your arrival, and an expired record is deleted the next time you visit. Choosing "Only essential" in the cookie banner, choosing "Reject All" in Cookie Settings, or later disabling marketing cookies deletes the record immediately.
To manage your cookie preferences:
- In Google Chrome: Go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- In Mozilla Firefox: Go to Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- In Safari: Go to Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Data Retention
We retain the data collected by cookies for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Cookie Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Third-Party Cookies
Google Analytics and LinkedIn may set third-party cookies after you grant the corresponding consent. Their use of cookies and personal data is subject to their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy and LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
