What data does Expanly need in order to work?
In order to create models that bring results, Expanly needs web analytics data and product feed data, for example, product IDs, prices and sales.
What does implementing the tool require?
All that is needed is access to Google Analytics, Google Ads and access to the product feed file.
Who uses Expanly?
The tool is primarily used by the person in charge of or operating advertising, or the online store owner themselves. The primary focus of the tool is to create a model that will control feed-based marketing and create actionable insights that can guide product strategy and improve the created model.
How much time should I expect to spend with the tool after onboarding?
To learn through the insights and optimize the model, around an hour per week is sufficient.
How do I know the model works and creates results?
The Insights section of the model shows you how much money you allocate in advertising to the criteria you prioritized. For example, if profit margin is important to you, the Insights section of the model will show you how much money you have allocated to high-margin vs. low-margin products.
We have built our own product scoring model. Why would Expanly be a better option?
Custom scoring models are often one-off solutions managed by developers. These rarely have user interfaces where the model's main user base can control it or understand how advertising works with the model. These can also be really expensive and do not scale. Expanly has a dedicated team that has seen thousands of models and developed the best solution for various online stores based on the experience.
We use a feed management tool, how is this different from it?
Expanly is not a feed management tool. Feed management tools are intended to combine and modify feeds to fit different systems. The purpose of Expanly is to identify the most important products for your business and enable advertising control around them.
We have an upcoming online store revamp - how does this affect the tool?
Revamps or refreshes of the online store do not necessarily affect the tool. If the feed is renewed, all that is needed is a data source update.
